Inland Spain offers a holiday with a difference where you can really experience the Spanish lifestyle, walk in the hills, visit the whitewashed Andalucian mountain villages or explore places of historical interest. Or you can head down to the coast and lie on of the beautiful beaches near Nerja!
A few excursions can be arranged at extra cost, such as to the local Buddhist Stupa, oran evening meditation on the beach followed by dinner in the beachside cafe, or a visit to the hot springs at Alhama de Granada.
SPIRIT OF YOGA specialises in Yoga Teacher Training programs, however, we also offer selected dates for Yoga Retreats and Holidays. These are available most months of the year in Spain.
The venue for the Yoga Retreats/Holidays is the YOGASHALA, a lovely wooden framed house with gardens, pool and sea views only 15 minutes from the sea by car.
The Yogashala is situated in a quiet county position with stunning views of the sea to the South and mountains to the North.
The whitewashed village of Iznate is close by with all amenities.
Yoga Retreats are available for long weekends, one week and ten days.

Daily yoga classes
Yoga Nidra sessions (yogic deep relaxation).
Meditation
Indian music evenings

Based on traditional Yoga practice and theory,as well as modern knowledge of the body and mind,this is an in-depth program that will maximise your effectiveness as a Yoga teacher. You will find a new depth to your enjoyment and love of Yoga.
“Spirit of Yoga” is affiliated with Tapovan Dham Dhyan Yoga Center in Rishikesh, India, whose founder is Yogi Yogendra Mishra. The school has developed from the combined desires and efforts of Maggie Levien (Manorama Devi Dasi) and Yogendra Yogi, to spread the knowledge of yoga. It is dedicated to helping people realise their potential, and to develop better health and harmony of body and mind, through the practice of yoga and related subjects.
The Yoga Teacher Training will take you deeper into your yoga journey, and help you to successfully apply the spiritual teachings of yoga to your life, and to the lives of your students.
The teachers are Maggie Levien (Manorama) and Yogi Yogendra. Both teachers are fully trained at Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute,Lonavla,India.
Manorama is the regional representative of Yoga Alliance International for Spain.
Spirit of Yoga is registered with the Yoga Alliance International and the European Yoga Alliance.
Certificates will be presented at the end of the course by Yogi Yogendra of Rishikesh, and in Spain by Manorama.
Courses to be held in UK,Spain and India.
There are three YTTC options to choose from:
1. 200hr four week intensive in Rishikesh,India.
2. 200hr four week intensive in Spain, or as one week a month for four months in Spain, or four days per month for six months (Spain),ten weekends and a four days self study (UK only).
3. 300hr YTTC. Students who have completed the 200hrs YTTC can go on to take a further 100hrs in Rishikesh, India. This will be a twelve day retreat close to the River Ganges, and will enable students to go deeper into their personal yoga journey, and in their role as a teacher.
Costs:
SPAIN and INDIA YTTC four week intensive, which includes all tuition, books, certificate and accomodation (not meals). 1,770 euros.
Without accomodation 1,300 euros.
In SPAIN the venue is at the Yogashala, a wooden framed house with gardens, pool and sea views. Accomodation is in single or shared rooms, with shared kitchen, bathroom and sitting room. Classes will take place both outside in the gardens and inside the yogashala. The village of Iznate is a twenty minute walk away, and the sea is fifteen minutes by car. Malaga airport is 35 mins away.
In INDIA accomodation will be provided at Sanskriti an Ayurvedic Spa, close to the River Ganges,and a local Guest House. The course will take place at Sanskriti. OR at The Narayana Resort, a quiet spacious venue with large pleasant gardens.

DATES:
The next YTTC four week intensives start on 12th March 2012. These will take place in Spain in the province of Malaga.
The Rishikesh course will take place in October/November 2012 and will be a four week intensive. However,as the teaching is based on traditional one to one or small groups, the syllabus is arranged so that students can enter the course on optional dates.
